    A French dish of potatoes, garlic, and butter sizzling in the oven started to fill the air with a misty, greasy, yet deliciously scented smoke. The play of lights and shadows in the smoky late-afternoon ambience, plus the overall mood of the quiet house prompted me to take this shot.
