Hiking across the rocky, uneven terrain, with a never slowing gale wind in your face, makes you appreciate managed trails of most attractions, but this one is special...the place you are hiking to is a sacred site to a people without a written history. On the way in, all you see is lava rock and stacked rocks to generally guide you to the site. On the way out, you'll see petroglyphs everywhere on, and beside the trail.
