Edit Photo Details Mission San Diego de Alcala
My daughter went on a field trip to this Mission last week. It was a very entertaining and knowledgeable tour. We learned about missionary Father Luis Jayme who was killed by local Indians. They were retaliating against the missions being built and the converting of Indians to the Catholic faith. At the end of the walkway is the actual grave sight where Father Jayme was brutally killed November 4, 1775.
