This photo was very spontaneous. I was sitting in my hotel room in Portland, Oregon, and I kept staring at the window. I thought that all the scene was missing was a person peering into the distance to create a sense of wonder and longing. I instantly jumped up, setting my camera up on a tripod and set the exposure. I put the self timer on and ran to the window. I've always wondered what life in a big city is like, and this photo portrays my wonders perfectly.
