The male has a length of 1.25 m. Without the tail, which doubles the length. The peacock lives in open forests and seek his food either in the dawn of the day or just before sunset. It is omnivorous and its diet includes wheat, berries, figs as well as insects, small mammals and reptiles. Lives up to 25 years but in ideal conditions, hygiene and grooming can live 40 years on farms.
