Betel smile
Myanmar people often use betel nut to take care of their mouths: it's believed that betel cleans teeth and cures gums, although it leaves a peculiar brownish red mark. I was looking for somebody that was chewing it but local Pao people are generally reluctant and don't like to be photographed. I walked all around the market at Inle Lake looking for some friendly interaction and finally I found this lady who spontaneously smiled at the camera and was very curious to see herself in the picture.
