Each morning at the homestay, we were awakened by the sound of the angklung being played by the men building an outdoor kitchen on the property. As the men arrived for work, one would taking over playing the instrument until the next arrived, then the new arrival would play, and so on, until they were all on site and ready to begin the workday. What a beautiful way to begin the day.
