This water lilly was shot at mid afternoon with the sun right overhead - not an ideal time to shoot this subject. I was leaving the place and was not returning back for quite a few days. I did not want to miss this shot. This image was shot with the effect of directional light with help of my brother who helped to cast a shadow leaving a small gap to allow the light to fall on the stamen and a few petals of the flower. Originally under exposed by 0.7 EV and curves adjusted little.
