    At the end of a long day of hiking the Congo Nile trail in the west of Rwanda, I was about to head to my guesthouse when I came across this young girl collecting kindling. She had just loaded the bag upon her head when I asked to take her photo. While we couldn't speak the same language and our life experiences were so very different, when she looked at me with her soulful eyes, I felt as if we understood each other completely.
