The spring flowers in Central Washington are early this year. They're still a bit sporadic in most places, but driving up one very rough road in the Wenas Wildlife Area I found a pine forest carpeted with wild Lupin. The Ponderosa forest lit up with rich greens and purples for as far as I could see.
