Edit Photo Details La Push beach Velella Velella   #velellabythewindsailorslapushforksdayatthebeach
We visited this beach in La push with the kids for the weekend. Thousands of these jelly fish called Velella also know as "by the wind sailors" washed up on shore. No one could explain why. They sail atop the water like little sail boats and just die here on this beach. They were such a beautiful color of aquamarine. It was a rare occurence and beautiful to see.
