Elgin Cathedral
Ruins of Elgin Cathedral, Established in 1224. It was rebuilt in 1270 after a great fire, and again rebuilt in 1390 after yet another fire caused by an attack by Robert the III brother, Alexander Stewart, Earl of Buchan, know to the locals as 'The wolf of Badenoch'. In 1402 it suffered an incendiary attack by the followers of the Lord of the Isles. The Cathedral was finally abandoned in 1560 and services moved to St Giles Church which currently sits in the center of Elgin.
