As a child I would run around our Portland Suburb backyard, trying to photograph the many Hummingbirds that would stop for a snack. These beautiful creatures seemed to be living in a faster world, always one step ahead of me and my camera. There are many species of Hummingbird in Oregon. This one seems to be a Black-Chinned Hummingbird (Archilochus alexandri) , although I may very well be mistaken.
