Lucky Escape
I was lucky enough to capture this moment of a great white shark trying to go for a mutton bird in the Neptune islands marine park, it is a incredible marine area rich in life and a perfect place for spotting great whites, the company i went with attracts the sharks using music and has a minimum footprint on the natural area. It is so incredible to be able to be in the water and see these incredible creatures in their natural environment, and we need to do all we can to protect what we have!
A great example of capturing 'the moment.' The face of the shark is overexposed and the photo would look better with some basic editing, but it still captures the wild nature of the ocean, and makes technical issues secondary to the story it tells. A large predator in action is something difficult to observe, and a sign of a healthy environment.
