    Reported by:

A wedge-tailed eagle swoops off and out of the way only at the last moment. A second before the brute had been feasting on a carcass, possibly the remains of a kangaroo, laying on the sun beaten road. This was almost halfway through our road trip, and although the landscapes had been abundant so far, the wildlife was scarce. This large eagle laying chicken with our car was our only main animal sighting of the day.
