In the foothills of the White Mountains, on the Vermont side, is the CT River. Winding gently thru the valleys, I drove past on a foggy late autumn morning. The clouds, the softness of the fog, the last of the New England autumn colors still clinging to the trees - how could anyone resist stopping to soak up this idyllic scene?
