Literally standing on the eastern edge of Australia's vast inland desert region this vista vantage point provided a reminder of its extent, beauty and its severity. A brief detour along a dirt track took us through the Welford National Park' desert drive after a nearby assignment. Sometimes it pays to use those sidetracks to experience some fascinating views.
