One-horned Indian Rhinoceros
The one-horned Indian Rhinoceros can weigh more than 4,000 pounds and stand 6 feet tall at the shoulder. Approximately 3,000 of these are left in the wild, two thirds of which reside in and around Kaziranga National Park in Assam, India. Habitat loss and poaching have taken a great toll on this species. This was taken while riding an elephant on a guided tour.
