There were plenty of new things to take in during my recent trip to China. With only our backpacks and no ability to speak the language, my travel buddy and I had to improvise constantly. Having never been to China before, I can easily say we were way outside our comfort zones. One day while out exploring in Beijing, I came across this joyful old man while walking through Temple of Heaven Park. I was totally taken aback by his welcoming smile. In that brief moment he made me feel right at home.
