I made this image of cypress and oak trees immersed in a sea of ferns along Shingle Creek, a favorite walking trail of mine in SW Orlando. The slightest breeze makes the ferns take on a sinuous, wave-like movement, akin to a roiling sea. The effect can be hypnotic and somewhat eerie.
