Sea Turtle Hatching
I was traveling through the Perenthian Island in Malaysia when the head of Lang Tengah Turtle Watch came up to us looking for volunteers. I learned about how the Sea Turtle population has gone down so much over the past few decades, due to poaching, over fishing and consumption of turtle eggs. I was photographing a nest check and couldn't believe I was able to see and capture the birth of this little sea turtle and hundreds of others. Unfortunately the survival rate is 1 in 10,000.
