This photo was taken in Purulia during the Chaw(mask) Festival. This photo signifies the strong love and intimate bonding that exists between a mother and her child, throughout the world. Just like the Goddess Durga (in the mask), who is the mother of all the Gods of the Hindu mythology, a mother is also very protective, caring and loving towards her child. This sacred relationship is beyond the barriers of race, caste, region or sex and is considered as the most holy relationship in the world.
