This lioness is pregnant. In two months or so she will have cubs. You can see from the scar on her leg and a little cut out of her ear that has been through things. This probably will not be her first time as a mother. She is part of the Savuti Marsh pride of 12 lions. The two male lions who are the protectors of the pride have been in charge for two years. Hopefully they will be able to protect these cubs as well untill they are old enough.
