Dancing deer kid
Taken during the Corpus Christi festivities in Patzún, Chimaltenango, Guatemala. The Deer (El Venado) dance -which is a prehispanic tradition-, takes place at some of the departments of the country. It consists of 26 characters with costumes that dance across the town during the local saint festivities . The purpose of this ritual is to ask for livelihood.
