    Edit Photo Details Nephila sp.   #nephila #sp #tonatico #nephilidae
When I traveled to Tonatico in the State of México my classmates and I where looking for chelicerates, like spiders and scorpions. We found an abundance of this genre of spider, called Nephila. They were also the bigest spiders in the zone, around 5 or 6 cm long for the female, the males are small like 1 or 2 cm long. In the zone they are gregarious, namely, many spiders live together, this one was an exception, living by it's own. By the way the specimen was not collected.
