Far removed from any urban area is this sense of place. What makes this place special is the people who lived and continue to live here. It is the only hand planted forest in the Sandhills. Halsey Forest is home to seedlings from specific regions over the United States for regrowth in the event of a disaster. It is also a place to camp, recreate, hunt, fish, and clearly reflect on such an amazing sense of place!
