    This is A'loo, a grandmother in one of the small extended family communities of the Banna tribe. I stayed with this community in the Omo Valley. We had gone honey collecting the night before where (to much laughter) we had learned each others names. Her hauntingly beautiful birdlike calls of 'Lu-cin-da' 'Lu-cin-da' which sang from her hut as she called me in to drink coffee husk coffee that morning will stay with me forever.
