New Zealand's beloved Mt. Ruapehu (an active strato volcano) and three galaxies (Milkyway core and Large & Small Megallanic clouds) can be seen in this image.Hence the title Cosmic Convergence. Its a panorama of 14 shots combined. The light on the low clouds near the mountain gives it an erupting volcano look. actually the lights are reflected off the ski field underneath :)
