I've been at this beautiful place in western Iceland several times to get this shot. One night I waited until 6 in the morning, lying in the snow and hoping for the Northern Lights to show up - without any success. But then, on my fifth attempt, I was lucky and experienced one of the most spectacular Northern Light I've seen in Iceland so far. I laid down in the cold snow and enjoyed this wonder of nature right above my head. All my efforts finally paid off!

The Aurora Borealis always makes for a great photo, but you found an equally beautiful composition to compliment them.
