Clear blue sky sunrises are somewhat rare in Lingshan Bay outside Qingdao, China. This area has changeable weather, to say the least, and heavy fog banks rolling in, that shroud the world and paint everything in dull and muted tones, is all too common. In my time there I was up for sunrise most days to try make the most of whatever the weather offered me, but something like this was a rare blessing indeed. One learns to appreciate sunshine and blue sky when suddenly it is not an everyday thing.
