    We are close to the end of our first day of trek to K2 Basecamp (The second highest mountain in the world.) My team mates and our best porter, Hussain is waiting on the other side of the bridge. this is a fast flowing river with source in Biafo glacier. Pakistan is home to 5 of the 14 peaks that are higher than 8000 meters. Largest concentration of "eight thousandards" anywhere in the world.
