The biggest animal to have ever lived on Earth captured together with a tiny flying Atlantic puffin. What you see here is only a small part of this enormous blue whale. Her dorsal fin and tail are far behind underwater and her head would not fit this photo as it would stick out completely. This female blue whale was spotted in Skjalfandi Bay in Iceland and was swimming together with a calf. A very rare sighting and good news as blue whales were almost extinct because of intense whaling.
