Edit Photo Details Killdeer   #widlife #dedicatedmother
I stumbled upon this mother killdeer while at work and as I moved in a certain direction, she would chirp at me and start faking an injury. If I went towards her she would move away from me just fine, but if I went in the other direction she would get closer and again act like she is hurt. I later found her nest, quickly got a photo of the eggs and then walked away to watch her immediately go and sit on her nest. Loved seeing how dedicated and protective this mother bird was.
