There are numerous ethnic groups in Bhutan. These are the Drukpa Kagyu people of Chimi Lhakhang. Women play a significant role in the agricultural work force, where they outnumber men. They typically tie their infants/toddlers and go about their daily tasks without a whimper. Even older women tie their grandchildren in strong cloth belts and walk for miles. They are usually very cooperative for photos and rarely or never ask for any monetary benefit in return for being clicked.
