I spotted her en my route to a short trip to a rural Bengal. Plates made from leaves of a Sal tree were being traditionally used for big parties in India. While we don't think about the plate in exchange of a good meal, somebody like her in a remote village spend her last days making those plates for a paltry sum of money just enough to keep her spirits alive.
