    Back in the 1920's, the Angel Staircase was built to carry supplies up Carson Peak to build a dam in a lake hidden from view within the mountain range. Some call the pile of rocks below the staircase the Devil's Postpile, although there is no official name. Taking the EXTRA long way home, I climbed up these ancient stairs to the magnificent view from the top.
