While walking along the shores of Yellow Water in Kakadu National Park, a small beautiful bird perched on the railing of the boardwalk: an Azure Kingfisher (Ceyx Azureus). At first, I was some distance from it so decided to walk carefully towards the bird. In the end, I was so close, I could have touched it. The bird flew away to catch a small fish which it ate on a boat nearby and came back on the railing near me. I felt very privileged.
