It grows up to 15-25 cm tall, with 1-2 small, oblong tubers. Alternately arranged, oblong lance-shaped leaves, 5-15 cm long, are clustered at the base. Flowers arise on long peduncles, 5-10 in number, and look scattered as opposed to clustered.
