I caught this rainbow while driving through Parker Ranch (one of the oldest and largest cattle ranches in the country) in Kamuela (Waimea) on the Big Island of Hawaii. Looking upslope to the saddle between the two volcanoes Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa, the long shadows, distant greenery, and extraordinary light from the late afternoon sun made this amazing scene. I did my best to capture the whole arc using the panorama setting on an iPhone 6, trying to keep the wind blown rain off of the lens.
