The Sami: Living Without Lights
This photo was taken of the Northern Lights while dogsledding and camping with the indigenous Sami of northern Lapland. We had wood burning stoves for heating, camp fires for cooking, and slept covered in reindeer furs in our shared lavvu tent. At this point of the year in Norway, we only had an hour or so of daylight. Candles and the awesome aurora were our only illumination. This photo captures a dream come true for me.
