    Baleshare is a flat tidal island in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. The community was boosted by the building of a causeway from North Uist 1962 . The island has a spectacular long sandy beach looking out into the Atlantic and across to the Island of Benbecula to the South. It is reported to have population of 49.
