On an evening tour of the grounds of a raja's palace I saw much evidence of the formerly lavish lifestyle, including this luxurious private bus. The upholstery had rotted away and the once polished exterior was now dull. The raja lived in splendor while the peasants suffered. The peasants are still poor, but the luxurious vehicle is now junk, an old curiosity at best. I suspect that much of our lifestyle will be viewed in a similar light in the future.
