Spiral Staircase from above
This spiral staircase is located at the end of the Vatican Museum. It consists of two intertwined spirals, one leading down and the other going upwards.
Taken with a Tokina 11-16 2.8 wide-angle lens. Three-exposure HDR composite, using relatively slow shutter speeds to evoke movement.
Oddly, this photo is meant to be a portrait -yes, a portrait of my then 1 and a half year-old daughter and her mother, who are patiently standing still towards the middle of the frame.
