At the far end of this lake the environment has been taken over by beavers and while they are turning the lake into a meadow they are also raising the water level and the woodland is becoming flooded. The end result after scaling six dams and meandering around 28 others is a great place to explore by kayak. It is also a place of guaranteed solitude.
