As a child, I grew up looking out my bedroom window, into a playground that eventually became a mosque. My view was forever away and above. This photograph is from my thesis in college, entitled, "A quest of questions". A thesis primarily focusing on my journey as a Pakistani woman, in the united states, attempting to understand Islam. The camera as an instrument played an important part in the photographs, as it's physical presence resonated my physical presence in the positions of liturgy.
