The Milky Way and a Perseid Meteor above Lower Ausable Lake in The Adirondacks of New York earlier this month. This is a photo I had been planning for over a year, and everything worked out better than I could've imagined- especially the bright Perseid Meteor streaking through my frame. Over 9 hours of driving and 10 miles of hiking in 12 hours, there and back from New Hampshire, it was a truly amazing night spent under the stars.
