There is a community in Chambers County, Texas named Double Bayou. We were driving around in this area when I spotted this scene. The sun was still high in the sky and it was not really the time of day that I'm active with my camera. Regardless of this fact we stopped and started taking a few pictures of the old store. I don't know what it is about the way the light was filtering through this scene. it just worked and I like the fact that I can't always explain why an image works or not.
