    Is she stuck behind the glass or am I? Is she trapped or is the viewer trapped? This session was intended to focus on African American natural hair and beauty. This image conveys the struggle that many African American women face when it comes to societies unrealistic beauty standards, many feeling the need to buy products to blend into American society. She is washing away all of the self hate that is created by societies unrealistic beauty standards.
