Crane flies look like giant mosquitoes, but are totally harmless. They hang around the edges of ponds, streams. lakes, etc and have a very short life span. This one stayed on my water glass for at least 2 or more hours.Because of the reflections, I think it thought the drinking glass and glass table were water sources.
