The new World Trade Center Transportation Hub being built in New York's financial district. Designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. The 'Oculus' is designed to form a "Wedge of Light" so that sun rays around the autumnal equinox would hit the World Trade Center footprints each September. It stands at angle to maximize the effect of the autumnal equinox rays. The overall concept is to resemble a bird being released from a child's hand. It's scheduled for completion December 17th.
